Lancashire Telegraph review by Simone Yates from June 25, 2011.

FOUR of us went for a spontaneous meal and, even though we hadn’t booked, we still had a warm welcome and managed to be seated immediately.

I took time to choose from a varied menu rather than opting for the same old dish.

One of the starters we ordered was a Shami Kebab that was accompanied by a side salad.

The meat was marinated perfectly, melting in your mouth and extremely tasty.

Accompanied by popadoms with enough condiments for us all, we were pleased with the freshness and a great taste.

For the main dish I went for a King Prawn Balti with pilau rice and the other diners went for traditional dishes, including a Chicken Rogan Josh.

Each meal came with a side, the chips were well cooked and the pilau rice was tasty and fluffy.

I also ordered a Keema Garlic Naan.

It was freshly cooked and generously filled but far too much for one person, as the bread was bigger than the plate it was served on.

Situated on Darwen’s answer to Manchester’s curry mile, with two other popular Indian restaurants, this one has to be in my top three!
