A rich, smooth red from the village of Langlade in the Montagne Saint Emillion region and a Chateau owned by the same family for almost 500 years.
Made as part of the Tesco Finest range the grapes are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon as you would expect and there are strong blackcurrant and blackberry flavours.
The alcohol is just 13%.
Great price for such a good wine.
Chateau Haut Langlade 2008, £9.79, Tesco
