THREE hours drive south of Perth in Western Australia is where this big, strong (13.5%) Chardonnay hails from an Oz region that has produced a whole host of world-class wines in the past few years.
Lots of ripe peach and tropical fruit flavours blend with the tastes that come from fermentation in French oak barrels.
This might be dear in Aldi terms but is actually a snip at this price.
MOUNT DONNYBROOK CHARDONNAY 2005, £6.99, Aldi.
