THE Hearth of the Ram, a gastro pub in Ramsbottom, has received its fourth recognition for fine dining in as many weeks.

The eatery in Peel Brow has been shortlisted in two categories of the Made in Bury Awards 2013.

The inaugural awards aim to champion Bury businesses and celebrate outstanding achievements. The Hearth of the Ram’s previous accolades include being selected as one of the 50 best restaurants in the UK and earning a place in the Good Food Guide 2014.

The restaurant, which dates back to the 1800s, was also named Food Pub of the Year in the Manchester Food and Drink Festival awards.

A Michelin fine dining mark of quality and affordability, the Bib Gourmand, was also awarded to the team.

A Bib Gourmand recognises places where three courses can be enjoyed by diners for £28 or less Euan Watkins, owner of the restaurant, said: “These awards are testament to the hard work and dedication of our great team.”
