SOME STARS deserve a good ribbing.
They swan around in their designer clobber and diamond-encrusted sports cars snivelling on about their "art" and "media intrusion".
So last night's Star Stories (Ch4) starring "George Michael" was a breath of fresh air.
The new spoof "documentary" is only in its second week but I'm already hooked.
Last night "George" - with a comedy bouffant and camp accent to match - revealed the truth behind his intense rivalry with "Boy George" and the day he realised he was homosexual.
"Looking back, maybe there was a better way of coming out than being arrested in a public toilet in LA and being charged with a lewd act.
"Maybe I should have just had a few close friends round and told them."
It also included a hilarious spoof of Band Aid coverage - where "Bone-o" and "Paul Weller" threaten to "kick his head in".
And it also dealt with George's decision to go solo.
"Good as it was, Wham! couldn't last for ever, and I found myself craving new challenges.
"I mean, would Michelangelo want to paint the Sistine Chapel over and over again?"
All in all a silly but very funny comedy.
And anybody who takes themselves too seriously deserves to be poked fun at.
Next week's show focuses on Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas - I can't wait.
