THEIR latest single shot to number one in the singles charts and now The Wanted have announced they will head out on a tour including a gig in Manchester on February 17 and Liverpool on February 24.

The five-piece group, including Bolton boys Tom Parker and Max George, that became one of the biggest breakthrough acts of 2010, will play 11 arenas in total.

Tom and bandmate Jay McGuinness said: “After the success of our first tour — which we think the mums just may have enjoyed even more than their kids — we’re planning our first arena tour for February and March.

"We just want everyone to come along and enjoy themselves, so don your The Wanted t-shirts and why not purchase a ticket-for-entry? It’ll be spiffing!”

The Wanted boys burst into our lives and the charts last summer, with their 2010 Brit award nominated debut single, All Time Low, storming straight into the number one spot.

Followed by number two hit Heart Vacancy, they have quickly built up a huge fanbase.

Their self-titled debut album raced into the top five, and they have had more than an incredible 30 million plays of their videos on YouTube.

Earlier this year the boys performed their first headline tour which had rave reviews from the press with The Times, Evening Standard and News Of The World giving the shows four stars.
