11am - Residents in the Daneshouse with Stoneyholme areas will be able to discuss issues with police officers at a community meeting at the Burnley Campus, in Barden Lane.

11am-12pm - Police for Burnley town centre are holding a surgery for residents to raise any concerns. The surgery will be held at Age Concern, Keirby Walk.

4pm-6pm - Help is on hand for residents in Pendle who have yet to fill in their Census 2011 form. Colne library staff are offering support to anyone who wants to use a library computer to fill in the census online or to complete the paper version.

5pm - The next police and communities together, or PACT, meeting for Sudell residents in Darwen takes place in Sudellside Community Centre, Sudellside Street.

6pm - a Police and Communities Together meeting will take place at Whitewell Bottom Community Centre.

1pm - People who care for those with Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia are invited to a support group meeting at St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Bolland Street, Barnoldswick.

7pm - There will be a celebration evening of the Padiham Greenway at Pendle Street Baptist Church. People are invited to come and hear reports on the progress of the Greenway and interested parties are invited to get involved by bringing along their ideas and suggestions on setting up groups such as dog walking, cycling, jogging and walking. 7pm - The Briercliffe local history group will hold its next meeting at Haggate School. Issues on the agenda include an exhibition for the re-opening of Briercliffe Library and a heritage information board for Duke Street Gardens.

7.30pm - Blackburn Cathedral will hold its Annual General Meeting. The gathering in the north transept will witness the election of cathedral wardens, deputy wardens, deanery synod representatives and a chapter member. An annual report is available to view at the welcome desk at the back of the cathedral.

7.30pm - Brazilian pianist Clélia Iruzun will be performing a concert at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School. The audience is promised a fiery mix of Spanish and Latin American music as well as pieces from Chopin. Admission £12.50.

The Skipton Road club is abandoning its usual soul night on the fourth Friday of the month and will instead host one main event. It will feature guest DJs Ian G and Jools Metcalfe. Admission is £5 on the door. The usual soul nights will return in May.
