AUSSIE blues-rock guitarist Derrin Nauendorf comes to Mellor Brook on March 27.
The evening session presents his unique blend of driving rock rhythms, flamboyant guitar playing and a passionate delivery of contemporary blues material – much of it from his own pen.
Nauendorf knows Blackburn very well - not the Lancashire town but the suburb of his native city Melbourne where he grew up.
Support on the night comes from Hence The Tortoise, a trio showcasing the song-writing talents of Ribchester singer-guitarist, Glyn Shipman.
Many of his songs have topical references; In My Head I’m Byronos about internet dating, Billy and Katie is inspired by the Royal Wedding and Creamola Foam reminiscences growing up in the 1960s.
* Derrin Nauendorf plays Mellor Brook Community Centre on Sunday, March 27. Tickets priced at £10 will be available on door. To reserve tickets, phone 07871 153 880.
