THERE are musical icons, and then there’s Dolly Parton.

The pint-sized Queen of Country makes all the young pretenders look like the flash-in-the-pans that they are.

Performing songs from her huge back catalogue — including 9 to 5, Here You Come Again, Jolene and the classic I Will Always Love You — the legendary singer, songwriter and actress returns to the UK following 2008’s spectacular summer show.

Dolly, who by the age of 13 was appearing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, has written more than 3,000 songs, enjoyed numerous number one hits and is the most honoured female country performer of all time.

Boasting all new sets, costumes and even new music from her forthcoming album Better Day to be released later this year.

Dolly says: “I had a great time when we were in Europe on the last Backwoods Barbie tour and I expect to have even more fun on the up and coming Better Day Tour.

“I’m really looking forward to this and I can’t wait to see all the fans again.

“We have a lot of fun things for everybody. Get ready becausse here I come again!”

Dolly has written more than 4,000 songs, had numerous number one hits and won countless Grammy, CMA and ACM awards.

She’s even got her own theme park called Dollywood!
