ALTHOUGH I’m not a big Jonathan Ross fan, I always seem to find myself tuning in to his Friday Night chat show.

But I do pity whoever joins me to watch as I moan the same moans every time.

There is a very fine line between love and hate and the two things I hate about this show are how its self-centred host does nothing but interrupt his guest with his attempts to be funny, and how he always somehow finds some way of steering the conversation back to himself.

Thankfully, the things I love are greater, and they are the fantastic guests he gets on that couch week on week.

My favourite last night was the Gavin & Stacey-turned-EastEnders star Larry Lamb. What a nice guy he is. He might be currently filling the role as Walford’s latest baddie, Archie Mitchell, but in real life he’s more comedy than conniving.

But I must admit I don’t know how he puts up with his on-screen lovebird and soon-to-be wife, actress Barbara Windsor. I think I prefer her as Peggy, which is really saying something.

It seems Barbara has forgotten that she is no longer a Carry On girl — someone wake her from her world of giggly inuendos.

And as for Pete Doherty, well I wouldn’t know where to begin.
