A brand new comedy event is coming to Blackburn this month- and tickets are a steal.

Comedy At The Rovers is the first comedy event to come to Ewood Park's Blues Bar and it features a quality line-up.

On the 24 July, ticket holders can enjoy 2.5 hours of comedy acts for just £8.50.

Heading the line up is Brennan Reece who burst onto the comedy scene after winning Comedian of the Year in 2015.

In 2016, he was nominated for Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for his sell-out show ‘Everglow’.

He has also appeared on many comedy shows including: Live at the Apollo (BBC), Comedy Central at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), Roast Battle (Comedy Central) and Life Lessons (BBC).

Also included in the line-up up is MC Karen Bayley who is described as “one of the most in demand acts on the comedy circuit”- Karen also toured with comedian Joe Lycett.

You might recognise Tony Burgess for his role in BBC 3 comedy ‘Ideal’ where he played DJ Troy.

Tony was also the winner of the prestigious City Life Comedian of the Year, came runner up in So You Think You’re Funny and was nominated for best stand up and writer at the North West comedy awards.

Good Kids (AKA Kieran Ahern and Tom Dowling) will also be tickling your funny bone with their mix of comedy songs and jokes.

A spokesperson for the show’s organiser, Nodding Dog Comedy, said: “It is a brilliant opportunity to get back out there and support live comedy- and also a chance to support Blackburn Rovers Football Club who have struggled as much as the everyone else in the pandemic.

“And at £8.50- tickets are a bargain."

The event takes place on 24 July at Blackburn Rovers’ Blues Bar on Nuttall Street, Blackburn.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
