A SINGER will have her late granddad very much in mind as she performs country and Western hits this evening (Friday, November 22).
Kerrie Ann Lomas, 29, will sing at Parr Conservative Club for the show, held in aid of Willowbrook Hospice, a cause of particular closeness to Kerrie's heart.

Kerrie's granddad Basil Stanton passed away at the hospice in 2002 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
For Kerrie, the night will take her back to where her love of music started as her granddad listening to country songs is what first inspired her as a young girl.
"My granddad had country on all day every day, that's when I got into singing," said former Sutton Academy pupil Kerrie, who featured in the Star in 2017 after a Facebook video of her singing went viral.

"It is back to where it all started for me. My granddad rang my mum and was like this girl can sing.
"When my video went viral, he wasn't here so he hasn't seen me performing live so this night is for him.
"With country music, everybody can relate to it. I want people to come, they can cry at the sad songs or laugh at the funny ones."
- This evening's gig is £2.50 on the door with doors open at 7pm all proceeds going to Willowbrook.
