JUST when you thought the panto season was over – oh yes it is, oh no it isn’t – for Bacup Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is staging its 15th show to delight kids and parents alike.
The 121-year-old society has extended the slapstick season with Cinderella, which opening on January 3 at Bacup Royal Court Theatre.
Residential director Clare L Round said: “This is the fifth time we have presented Cinderella here at the theatre and each time we stage it, the story feels as fresh as the day it was published.
“The set is bespoke and always looks fabulous. Our costumes are sourced from a local costumiers who also provided the beautiful costumes for The King and I in September and, of course, the music is live with our regular musicians, all of whom are professional.”
