The Location

The village of Carnforth has a bustling and thriving community. Situated along the main A6 with great access to the Lake District and with a, rather famous, mainline train station the village is popular with tourists, cyclists and walkers but it also has a thriving local community. Transport links have always been important to Carnforth, the motorway runs just to the east of the village and, today, the canal offers great walks as does the nearby coastline. The new Bay Gateway, M6 link has really opened the area up for professionals and commuters. For those lucky enough to call Carnforth "home" there are plenty of local shops and businesses with the village centre full of independent businesses and it also has three of the larger supermarkets with Tesco, Booths and Aldi. Tesco is just a short walk from Bridgeside. There are three local primary schools and Carnforth High School has built up a great reputation locally. With thriving local churches too this really is a great place to call home and easy to see why people want to stay!
