Cubs chill out at summer camp
THE young cubs look to be outnumbered by the brownies in this photograph dating from the 1940s And do they appear to be looking a little laid back? Maybe they reckoned with lots of girls around they wouldn’t be called on to do any work!
The group were from St Silas’ Church, Blackburn, and enjoying a summer camp at Silverdale.
The picture comes from John Lucas, of Blackburn, who is second from left on the front row, but the only other name he knows is the brownie leader, Mrs Shorrock.
