WE were inundated with replies last week from readers keen to tell us where last week's puzzler was.
Among the first to correctly guess the location was Gordon Whewell who emailed at 7.39am to say that the Bygone's 'where is this' teaser was in fact Blackburn Road in Accrington.
Regular winner Mike Lamb was next to email with the same correct answer.
Well done too to Alwyn Watson, John Pilkington and Roy Haworth.
The picture showed a bustling shopping street not far from the town hall and the old Woolworths.
Redmans could also be seen in the picture, taken close to the junction with St James Street.
This week's puzzler, taken in 1904, is slightly more tricky – but can you guess where it is? Email bygones@nqnw.co.uk
