WELL done to Ramon Ball for being the first person to correctly spot that last week’s correct answer was Union Road in Oswaldtwistle taken from Harvey Street towards Rhyddings Street.

This week’s picture comes from 1891. You can see in the picture, from the right, is Tomas Kay’s hairdressers and tobacconists, next door to Tom Molyneux’s oyster dealer, who also had a dealership in King William Street.

The entrance on the left is likely to be the Golden Lion Hotel vaults.

If you can figure out where this is, let us know by e-mailing us at bygones@nqnw.co.uk.
