SMILING happily for the camera one summer’s day more than 60 years ago are a group of laundry girls ready for a day out by the sea.
The group, from Clayton-le-Moors, stand in front of their coach before their day trip some time in the late 1940s.
The only name we have is that of Mary Pearson, who is in the middle of the back row.
The image has been sent to us by her brother Bob, who left Blackburn for a new life in Australia 47 years ago, but still enjoys hearing all the news from his home town.
Maybe you know others on the photograph?
