JUDGING has begun for this year’s Lancashire Telegraph Business Awards after the most entries ever.

More than 100 submissions were received for 11 categories in the prestigious event, which takes place on November 20 at Ewood Park, Blackburn.

This week, our panel of experts has been going through the impressive list of candidates.

Hyndburn Enterprise Trust director Aislene Evans, Steve Szostak, Blackburn with Darwen Council’s head of regeneration, and North West Development Agency head of skills and education Michelle Lawty-Jones decided on three categories.

Other experts judging on the categories have included Khalid Saifullah from Business Link North West, engineering director Neil Graham from BAE Systems and Napthens Solicitors partner David Hill.

Alicja Kay from Accrington-based Hawk Electronics and Ronnie Hunt from Cobham Defence Communications Ltd in Blackburn were also on the judging panels.
