The Lancashire Telegraph Business Awards wouldn't quite be the same without Dianne Oxberry, who returns to the Dunkenhalgh for the third successive year.

Having twice compered our night of the year', Dianne was delighted to be invited back again.

A familiar face to the region's TV viewers as BBC North West Tonight's weather presenter, Dianne said: "Every year the Lancashire Telegraph Business Awards gets better and better and the stories I am asked to read out are ever-more impressive.

"This has become a special occasion for the whole area and I am really pleased to have been asked back to share in the night's special atmosphere.

Before her weather forecasting days, Dianne spent seven years working at BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 1 with Steve Wright and Simon Mayo.

Now she combines TV weather with her own radio show on BBC GMR.

Dianne was the first female member of the ultimate boys' club - Steve Wright and the Afternoon Boys.

Then she co-presented the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Simon Mayo attracting an audience of 11 million and winning a Silver Sony Award.

She joined North West Tonight after studying at the Met Office College and has been a presenter and weather journalist for the past 10 years.

She has been nominated Best Regional Presenter at the prestigious Royal Television Society Awards Dianne is in constant demand to host conferences and awards ceremonies including the BBC North West Sports Awards and the North West Tourism Awards.
