BAE Systems has supported the international day against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia by holding a series of workshops.
The international event, now in its thirteenth year, is aimed at raising awareness of violence, discrimination and repression against LGBT communities.
Alison Unsted, BAE Systems' UK head of inclusion, diversity and engagement, said: "We have a really strong employee resource group for our LGBT staff – OutLinkUK – and coming together on this day is just one of the ways we are working together to highlight the importance of workplace inclusivity; where people can come to work and feel that they can be themselves without fear of discrimination or prejudice."
Kath Lane, chairwoman of OutLinkUK, said: "Our group of over 970 members and allies is working with our employer to shine a spotlight on the harmful impact of prejudice and discrimination which International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia helps to highlight worldwide."
