A HUSBAND and wife team are lighting the way to a new future with a move to bigger premises.

Prolight Concepts Group Ltd, owned by husband and wife Andrew and Susanne Jeffrey, has bought the freehold interest in the former Eurospec Warehouse, Stancliffe Street, Blackburn.

This will now house the growing sales offices, warehouse, service department and showroom for Prolight, which has grown to be a successful distributor of professional entertainment lighting and audio equipment.

The acquisition was supported by a funding package worth £1.35m from HSBC, and will allow the firm to move from its existing site on Olive Lane in Darwen, and secure the future of this business in the area for the foreseeable future.

The site will see almost a doubling of its existing property size and treble the amount of warehouse bays as well as providing suitable room for further growth.

The innovative business up from being a local supplier of DJ disco equipment to a global name in the field. The business supplies lighting to notable events and locations, including the BBC, as well as leading event rental companies worldwide.

Andrew Jeffrey said: “We are delighted to be able to secure the future growth of our business with this key property purchase. We have been looking for a location to build on the growth we have already achieved, and it was important to achieve this in the local area so we could maintain our highly skilled team.

"We have maintained contact with our original Relationship Manager in HSBC, Iain Duncan, who arranged the funding for the purchase of our site in Darwen, and it is fitting that he introduced us to Iain Schofield, and HSBC have been well-placed to support this purchase, for the next stage of our business.”

Iain Schofield, HSBC’s Relationship Director for Lancashire, said: “We are pleased to be supporting the Prolight Concepts Group in its latest expansion.

"Prolight are an innovative and leading business in the market and a key business in the East Lancashire area. This new site will see this business go from strength to strength and we are pleased to be a part of this journey.”
