Notice of application to vary a Premises Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that Eclectic Bars Trading Limited in respect of premises known as Smash/Coalition, 5 Gun Street, Reading, RGI 2JR, has applied to Reading Borough Council for a Wriation of a Premises Licence. The proposed variation is to seek approval of the plan submitted with the application to remove the ground floor of the premises which is currently trading as Smash, so that this licence applies only to the First Floor and Mezzanine only. To reduce the hours for the provision of regulated entertainment (to include films, live music, recorded music, performance of dance and anything of a similar description) and the sale of alcohol from the current hours of Monday to Thursday 10:00 to 03:30, Friday & Saturday 10:00 to 04:30 and Sunday 12:00 to 02:30 to the proposed hours of Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 03:00 the following morning and Sunday 12:00 to 02:30 the following morning. To reduce the hours for the provision of late night refreshment from the current hours of Monday to Thursday 23:00 to 03:30, Friday & Saturday 23:00 to 04:30 and Sunday 23:00 to 02:30 to the proposed hours of Monday to Saturday 23:00 to 03:00 the following morning and Sunday 23:00 to 02:30 the following morning. The opening hours of the premises will be Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 03:30 the following morning and Sunday 12:00 to 02:30 the following morning. To remove, replace and add conditions to the Premises Licence, a full list of which can be viewed upon request with Reading Borough Council. Any representations by an interested party or responsible authority regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by the Licensing Department, Reading Borough Council, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading, RGI 2LU, no later than 22 October 2018 stating the grounds for objection. The register of Reading Borough Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, during normal business hours or on the council's website - www.reading.gov.uk It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited.
