ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE M58 MOTORWAY [JUNCTION 3 WESTBOUND EXIT SLIP ROAD) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M58 Motorway, in the Borough of West Lancashire, in the County of Lancashire to enable the replacement of high friction surfacing, renewal of road markings and road studs, carriageway repairs, and other general maintenance works; to be carried out in safety. The Order will ban all traffic from the M58 Junction 3 westbound exit slip road. The works are expected to be in place overnight between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours (continuing to 07:00 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings), during a period starting on Friday 4 May 2018 and ending on Friday 18 May 2018. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights until completed. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M58 Motorway and local roads will be well signed. The number of running lanes will be maintained on the M58 throughout the daytime due to high volumes of traffic. The prohibitions will not apply to emergency services, works, or traffic officer vehicles. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
