ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (PURLEY-ON-THAMES, FOOTPATH 1/1) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2017

West Berkshire District Council INTENDS, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit persons from using Purley-On-Thames Footpath 1/1 from Westbury Lane to Purley Footpath 7/4. There is no suitable alternative route The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be executed on or near the Footpath, namely clearing hedges.

The proposed Order will come into effect on

20th November 2017 and remain in force for 6 months

or until works are completed whichever is the sooner.

The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance

with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General

Directions 2016 have been erected.
