THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN (VARIOUS STREETS IN BELMONT, BLACKBURN) (50MPH SPEED LIMIT CLEARWAY AND REVOCATION ) ORDER 2017
Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council proposes to make this Order under Section 1 2 4 84 and 124 of the and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be:
- Introduce a new speed limit of 50mph on Belmont Rd, Belmont from a point 1342m NW of its jct with Crookfield Rd to a point 40m SW of its jct with Longworth Rd North; From a point 335m SE of its jct with Scout Rd to a point 636m SE of its jct with Egerton Rd; and Crookfield Rd/Tockholes Rd, Belmont from its jct with Belmont Rd (A675) for a distance of 2500m in a NE and then northerly direction.
- 24 hour Clearway on Belmont Rd, Belmont from a point 1342m NW of its jct with Crookfield Rd to a point 40m SE of its jct with Longworth Rd North.
- Revoke The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen (A675 Belmont Road, Belmont) (50MPH Speed Restriction) Order 2002.
Copies of the Order, relevant plans and statement of reasons may be examined at the Information Desks in Blackburn Town Hall, Belmont Village Post Office, The Belmont Bull (PH) and The Black Dog (PH) during opening hours.
Objections to the proposed orders and the reasons for such objections must be made in writing to the undersigned by no later than 8th September 2017.
