UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING
(TRING ROAD, PARISH OF TILEHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2021
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Tring Rod in Tilehurst between its junction with Overdown Road and its junction with Fairford Road. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Overdown Road, Dark Lane, and Fairford Road and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for CityFibre Metro Network Ltd to install fibre optic cable. The proposed Order will come into effect on 25th October 2021. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 25th and 30th October 2021.
(ENGLEFIELD ROAD, THEALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2021
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Englefield Road in Theale between its junction with Cloister Mews and its junction with Blossom Avenue.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Church Street, A340 (toward Pangboume) and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to install a new service connection.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 25th October 2021. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 25th and 29th October 2021.
Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
