UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING
(WEST END ROAD, IN THE PARISH OF STRATFIELD MORTIMER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2021
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over West End Road in the parish of Stratfield Mortimer between its junction with St Catherines Hill and its junction with Stephens Road. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via St Catherines Hill, Victoria Road, Stephens Road, and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out work to reinforce the water main. The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th April 2021. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 4th May and 13th June 2021.
(RAG HILL, ALDERMASTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2021
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Rag Hill in Aldermaston between its junction with Red Lane and its junction with Spring Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Red Lane, Spring Lane and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Scottish & Southern Power Distribution to make a new connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th April 2021. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 12th and 15th April 2021.
Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
