READING BOROUGH COUNCIL THE BOROUGH OF READING (NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE AREA) EXTENSION TO 20 MPH ZONE ORDER 2020
The Reading Borough Council propose making an order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to impose a 20mph speed limit along the entire length of the following road:
Northumberland Road, from a point 15m north of its junction with Hexham Road to its junction with Long Barn Lane.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Reading Borough Council, in consultation with the Police, proposes to install speed cushions and raised tables as follows:
2 x Speed cushions - nominal height of 88mm ± 12mm, located 17m south of its junction with Canterbury Road
3 x Speed cushions - nominal height of 88mm ± 12mm, located 149m south of its junction with Canterbury Road
3 x Speed cushions - nominal height of 88mm ± 12mm, located 131m north of its junction with Long Barn Lane
1 x Raised table - nominal height of 88mm ± 12mm, located 25m north of its junction with Long Barn Lane
All dimensions are approximate and measured to the centre of the speed cushions/raised table. The traffic calming scheme will reduce vehicle speed, improving road safety and visibility in the local area.
