Notice is hereby given that on 24/07/20 North Yorkshire County Council made an Order under Sections 9 & 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to introduce the following experimental waiting restrictions for an experimental period of 18 months: Experimental Waiting Restrictions  -  Darlington Road, Richmond Waiting Prohibited at all Times

A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 03/08/20 , together with a map showing the road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton during normal office hours from 31/07/20  until 31/12/2021 and viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders .  Further information and copies of the documents can also be requested by contacting Ian Beighton at Area 1, Tel. number 01609 533708. The County Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely.  Within a period of 6 months from the coming into force of the Order, or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified, from the coming into operation of that variation or modification (whichever is the later), any person may object to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation. Any person wishing to object to the indefinite continuation of the Order must state the grounds for their objection, in writing, addressed to Area 1 Richmond Highways Office, Gatherley Road Industrial Estate, Brompton on Swale, Richmond, North Yorkshire DL10 7JQ or by email to area1.richmond@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 03/02/21. If any person wishes to question the validity of the above Experimental Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice make application to the High Court for that purpose.
