REVIEW OF MEMBERS’ ALLOWANCES SCHEME
Craven District Council’s Independent Remuneration Panel made
recommendations for changes to the Members’ Allowances Scheme.
The recommendations were approved at the Council Meeting on 25 February 2020.
In summary, members’ allowances were approved as follows:

Leader of the Council and

Deputy Leader of the Council
and Deputy Chairman of Policy 1 4,300 4,560 1.0
Audit and Governance

Travel Allowances follow HMRC approved mileage rates.
That the amounts of subsistence allowance should be the same as that paid to staff.
That future changes to allowances are linked to local government pay settlements.
