NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on 14th October 2019 the Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14(1 )(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") the effect of which continued in force the restrictions contained in a Notice under Section 14(2) of the Act dated 8th October 2019 the effect of which shall prohibit all traffic from proceeding along part of Restricted Byway 35 Shinfield for a distance of 433 metres.
The alternative route for all traffic shall be proceeding from the closed part of the Restricted Byway in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 115 metres and then in a north-easterly direction along Lambwood Hill for a distance of 340 metres and then in a northwesterly and northerly direction along Pump Lane for 480 metres and then in a generally north-westerly direction for 450 metres along Byway 32 Shinfield before turning in a southerly direction for 590 metres along Byway 14 Wokefield or by this route in reverse.
The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public as a consequence of vandalism to the wooden footbridge along the route.
The restrictions contained in the Order came into force on 14th October 2019 and shall continue for a period of 6 months or until the Council necessary repairs have been carried out whichever is the earlier.
