ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (FOOTPATH HOLY/4/1 IN THE PARISH OF HOLYBROOK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2019

West Berkshire District Council has made an Order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding in any direction over footpath No 4/1 in the Parish of Holybrook at the point where it crosses the railway. An alternative route for all pedestrians affected by the order can be found using footpath 24 in Burghfield, Burghfield Road, The A4, footpaths 3 & 4 in Holybrook and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be executed on or near the Footpath, namely for Network Rail to complete track renewal works using on track machinery. The proposed Order will come into effect on Saturday 12th October 2019 and will remain in force for up to 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner It is expected that the closure will be in place between 23:30hrs and 07:30hrs each night and should be completed by Sunday 16th February 2020. The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 have been erected.
