JOHN SLINGER "Absolutely Wonderful" 1stDecember 1940 to 10thApril 2022 Lorna, Robert, Amy and Kate and family would like to thank so many people, whether you kept us in your thoughts, sent cards, beautiful flowers or very kindly made donations to our favourite charities in memory of John or helped us in any way. We are so grateful for the wonderful staff on Ward C22 at The Blackburn Royal Hospital, their care and kindness we will never forget. The dedicated staff at The Haydock Nursing Home where John lived for the last 15 months, we can't thank you enough, you are amazing people. For their efficient, dignified and extremely sensitive approach to every request, we are so grateful to Lianna and her staff at Champs Funeral Services. Our thanks must also go to the Rev Jonathan Carmyllie, The Organist Mr Ian Smith and the Church Wardens at Whalley Parish Church for leading a beautiful service. What an amazing place and weather at Whalley Golf Club to celebrate John's life, and boy did we celebrate. The food and service were incredible, and we can't thank Julia and her staff enough, it was just what John would have wanted. We are sorry that we didn't get a chance to speak with everyone at John's Funeral but are so pleased and proud that you were part of such a special day.
