PHYLLIS GORTON Fiona and Jim would like to express their sincere thanks to all relatives, many friends, neighbours, and work colleagues for cards of condolence and donations at this sad time. They have been overwhelmed by the love and support shown to them and are extremely proud that so many people have expressed their love, respect and fondness for Phyllis. Special thanks go to the Rev. Philip Jump, Judith Carter and Marian Stanley for their comforting words and ministrations and all who helped in making the service a true thanksgiving of Phyllis's life. Thank you to the dedicated staff on Ward B18 at Royal Blackburn Hospital and Dr McDonald for the nursing care shown to Phyllis. Our thanks to the Spread Eagle Mellor, to Russell and the team at The Alty Funeral Service who were supportive and kind and ensured the smooth running of all the arrangements.
