A BUSINESS has pledged his support to continue working with a college to provide opportunities for students.

Andrew Turner, founder and chairman of motor dealer Chorley Group has pledged his support to continue a memorandum of understanding between the business and Blackburn College.

The two have been working together since 2015 to provide an active apprenticeship programme to give students the chance and to build their subject knowledge, give work place experience and improve employability skills.

Mr Turner said: “Apprentices are really important to our business.

“By working in partnership with Blackburn College we are able to bring new talent to our organisation, as well as helping the College to develop their students’ industry skills.”

Mr Turner recently gave a series of masterclasses for students and staff at Blackburn College as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017.
