AN RAF corporal who recently competed in the Invictus Games will be the special guest at a Blackburn school's presentation evening.
Stuart Robinson will talk to pupils at Blackburn Central High School on Thursday, November 9.
Mr Robinson was serving as an RAF Corporal in Afghanistan and on a routine patrol when his vehicle was hit by a Improvised Explosive Device.
He sustained horrific injuries and had to have both legs amputated.
He is now a member of the British Wheelchair Rugby squad who recently returned from the Invictus games with a silver medal.
Mr Robinson will talk to pupils about resilience in the face of adversity at the Haslingden Road School's Leavers' Presentation Evening next month.
He and the GB wheelchair rugby team are now fundraising to get to Tokyo 2020. For more information visit www.bbwr.org.uk.
