Fire broke out in a first floor flat on Preston New Road in Blackburn
EMERGENCY services attended a flat fire on Preston New Road, Blackburn, just after 12pm.
Initial reports suggested that there were people trapped inside but this proved not to be the case.
A police spokesman said: "There were concerns of people trapped inside the building but no one inside was inside so those concerns have been alleviated."
