Police have arrested a man following a spate of burglaries and attempted burglaries across Preston.
Officers were first called at around 4.30pm on Sunday (12 May) to a house in Fulwood following reports that a man had entered through an unlocked door.
They were later called to a property in Ashton-on-Ribble following similar reports. On both of those occasions, the man left when challenged and nothing was taken.
At 7.10pm Police were called again to a house in Ingol to reports that a man had distracted the victim by asking for a glass of water. Whilst distracted, a wallet was stolen from the house.
Following enquiries, a 51-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and is currently in custody.
