Bishop Nicholas is urging every parish to develop plans for a "Green Year" - translating Christian faith into environmental action.

His suggestions include such things as creating a quiet space in the churchyard, holding a Fair Trade coffee morning, organising an event to promote "green tourism" to cut down some of our self-indulgent flying, picking up litter in a local area, or encouraging people to "buy local".

Bishop John is to visit St. John's Church in May, the subject of the service will be the Healing Ministry.

Following this the Bishop will conduct a Healing Service in Church on a weekday subsequent to his visit.
