Dave Johnson, police community support officer for the rural area, informed the parish council that 54 incidents had been reported in Worsthorne, of which six were crimes.

The crimes included attempted theft of a Landrover on Brownside Road, criminal damage to a vehicle in Gorple Road, and theft of a packet of pork pies from Spar shop at Pike Hill.

Overall the village has been quiet, the main area of concern being youths gathering around the Spar.

PCSO Johnson has been obtained another grant of £1,500 from Lanpac towards the improvement work at the Recreation Ground.
