A BUS garage has been refused permission to extend its operating hours after residents complained the plan would leave them with sleepless nights. The committee voted to refuse an application to extend the hours and use of the First Centre West bus garage in Faraday Way, St Mary Cray.
Residents in nearby Lynmouth Rise and Roundlyn Gardens objected to the plans which would have left only two-and-a-half hours of the day without movement in the garage.
Councillor David McBride said: “The environmental health report clearly said residents were having sleep patterns disturbed. This is a victory for them.”
