Following the roaring success of Channel Four's programme The 1940's House, set in West Wickham, WH Smith is gearing up for a 1940's day this summer.
For just one day, West Wickham will go back 60 years and bring out the Bakelite.
On June 2, Braemar Gardens will be decked out in bunting and lined with stalls typical of the war years, followed by a marquee event in Blake's Park.
The event will be open to anyone who wishes to dress up and join in the reminiscing. There will be a nominal charge for the evening event in Blake's Park.
If you can help out with arranging the huge event or can donate money or items from the period, please call Tracey at WH Smith on 020 8776 0306 or Rob on 07799 170040.
