On April 1st the GMPTE(Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive)withdrew the subsidy for the 481 to run buses totally between Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall via Stubbins in the evening.
As a consequence the link between the two towns was lost after about 7pm.
Now however after a request from Stubbins residents and Lancashire County Council Rossendale Transport have re-directed their 483 bus service into Ramsbottom and Stubbins in the evening and restored service.
It would seem common sense has prevailed.Without public transport communites will die.
Well done Rossendale Transport.
