Immanuel's Church, Pleasington will be hosting their Annual Starvation Lunch on Sunday March 16.
This day is Palm Sunday, a day which always falls the week before Easter, to celebrate the event which was recorded by all four Gospels - the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem. Crowds gathered and laid palm branches on the pathway before Him.
To commemorate this event, Immanuel's are providing a simple soup and bread lunch, which will be served in the church hall.
It will cost £2 for adults and £1 for children and there will also be a decorated Easter Egg competition for the youngsters.
The event will be opened by Immanuel's Rose Queen, Jennifer Morley, which begins at approximately 11.45am.
