TWIST 5 CARD TRICK TRUMPS DUNN HAT-TRICK

Both Fenny Reccers Under 8 football teams started the New Year in fine style with comprehensive wins over Great Harwood and Rossendale.

The Blues were at home to Harwood on a wet Feniscowles Memorial pitch, and with club captain Archie Twist in great form scoring 5 goals, they ran out 6-3 winners. Oliver Parkinson scored the other goal.

The Red team travelled to Rossendale for a later kick off and played excellently in a 5-1 win with a hat-trick from Brett Dunn and goals from William Cross and Alfie Bennett.

Providing the weather holds off both teams have a hectic schedule in January as they bid to retain their creditable positions in the league.

The teams were as follows; Blues; Archie Twist, George Caton, Liam Walmsley, Luke Withers, Oliver Parkinson, Zak Millar, Matthew Brown, Daniel Barron.

Reds; George Carus, Euan Miller, Isaac, William Cross, Brett Dunn, Owen Brindle, Oliver Wilding, Kamran Jaffar.
