May as seen the staff at The Heritage Centre kept busy with several group visits. Last week two groups' of school children from a local primary school visited the 18th century Walled Garden where Peter the gardener was on hand to answer their questions and tell them about the plants and herbs growing beautifully at the moment following the recent spell of good weather. Two parties of ever popular U3A enjoyed a visit to the Centre where following lunch they were given a tour of the Museum and Garden. A W.I. party from Cumbria visited The Heritage Centre where once again Garden and Museum tours were taken, it was nice to hear first time visitors from outside the area say how much they enjoyed the time spent with us and how they would return and explore the Pendle area. FANS (Friends and Neighbours) from Bolton by Boland also enjoyed evening visit and we must thank our volunteers Ted and Sarah for welcoming our visitors and making the evening such a success. We will see several more coach trips arrive over the summer, we are hoping for plenty of sunshine which will add to the pleasure of our visitors as they stroll round the Centre and enjoy all we have to offer
