Yet again we have had several incidents of workmen doing work for vulnerable residents.
In some instances, these may even be genuine workmen, but who have seized the opportunity to greatly overcharge for their work.
To prevent this happening to you, we would suggest that all elderly residents contact agencies such as Age Concern to obtain a list of tradesmen or ask your family to do this for you.

This way, we can at least monitor who has been carrying out work in the area.
