On a sunny day in March, the Michelle Hemmingway and Cllr Paul Gott carried out an audit of the planted areas, boxes and troughs that had been provided for Huncoat in Bloom and mapped out where the bulbs were coming through. With this task now complete planning can continue for the expansion of the scheme.
Some of the planters have been relocated to more appropriate places and all of them will now be planted with perennials and supplemented by some summer flowering plants.
A work day to carry out this will be arranged shortly and volunteers would be most welcome to help plant them up and of course look after them throughout the year.
