    What will we do?

You may already know of the proposed plans to sell the Methodist Church on Station Road, with reasons given for this ranging from disreapir to poor attendances.

I spoke with PCSO Paul Crossland who is part of your neighbourhood policing team for Huncoat.

Apparently once this building is sold, the various community groups as well as the local police will no longer have a venue where they can hold their meetings or activities.

So, Huncoat Community, this is your chance to give these groups a helping hand.

Do you know of any premises which they might be able to use?

Do you own a business or units and have a spare room to offer?

PCSO Crossland told me that he has approached the school about using the assembly hall but that decision will take some time.

He also said that in the long-term the community will be applying for funding in order to build or acquire a new venue where the local groups and, of course the neighbourhood policing team can continue their work.

    All suggestions are most welcome!
